Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA Security supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard setup, monitoring, and failover/switchover operations.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Clusterware, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing HA & DR architectures.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in backup and recovery using RMAN, Data Pump, and other tools.
  • Skilled in performance tuning, capacity planning, and SQL optimization.
  • Experience with database patching, cloning, refreshes, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and custom monitoring solutions.
  • Proficient in Oracle Wallet, TDE, SSL configuration, and database security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, change management, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to Exadata, Oracle Multitenant (PDB/CDB), and Hybrid Cloud setups.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for database deployment automation.
  • Experience with other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus.
