Job Description for SQL Server Developer:

We are looking for a Senior MS SQL developer who will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You will also work other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Perform database optimization and performance tuning to ensure optimal system efficiency.
  • Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement, collaborate with the development team to integrate database components into applications.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years MS SQL Server experience required.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Azure is a plus.
