Primary Skills:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances and databases.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups, restores, and integrity checks.
  • Optimize SQL queries and indexes for performance improvements.
  • Implement and maintain database security (authentication, authorization, encryption).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and outages.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and upgrades.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools.
  • Maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 315 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience with SQL Server versions 2016 and above.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools like SQL Profiler, Database Tuning Advisor, and Performance Monitor.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
