Database Administrator Job Responsibilities:

- Database administration - ORACLE,MSSQL & MYSQL
- Maintain the performance of database servers ORACLE,MSSQL&MYSQL.
- Plan/Design/Install/Patch/ Upgrade/Manage oracle,mssql&mysql (Standalone/Cluster)
- Develop processes for optimizing database security.
- Set and maintain database standards.
- Manage database access & DB hardening.
- Performance tuning of database systems (Oracle,MSSQL&MYSQL).
- Provide and lead on database systems related technical advice to customers or project teams for complex issues.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Perform BAU DB deployments
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- To be in the roster call out and be available for on-call support as needed.
- SQL Tuning desirable
- Database backup/recovery /log shipping /cluster management in Oracle,Mssql&Mysql
- Plan & implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
- Receive general instruction for new responsibilities from supervisor and administer complex DBMS.

Database Administrator Qualifications/Skills:

- Strong knowledge &experience of Oracle 9i,10g,11,12c,18c,19c
- Strong knowledge &experience of MSSQL,MYSQL
- Strong knowledge &experience with RAC/Cluster &multitenant architecture.
- Strong knowledge with oracle dataguard.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
- Strong Analytical ,mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- DB Patching -Oracle,MSSQL,Mysql-Cluster &standalone.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Minimum 3-6 years database IT related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Excellent knowledge of Performance tuning ,db administration,data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
- Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
- Oracle Certified Associate/Professional preferred -11g and above
- MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
- Extensive experience with database technologies (Oracle,MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure),Sybase a plus
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Able to work under pressure and odd hours
