Position Overview:

Boeing India Defense Private Limited (BIDPL) team is currently looking for a Quality Manager to lead the QM function for the Business Operations and programs being steered for the Indian Defence Forces. The primary work location would be New Delhi.

The Quality Manager, as a Management Representative, will be responsible for ensuring that the established Quality Management System is implemented and maintained. Collaborates directly with business functions for development and implementation of requisite Quality Assurance Plans to effectively meet the established QMS and first-time quality requirements. Understand priorities and develop a strategy to ensure the most complex of business objectives are met.

Coordinates periodic internal and external Quality Audit plans to verify and ensure that the Systems, Process and Configurations are in compliance with the established QMS requirements. Oversee the identification of risks & impacts at a strategic level and coordinate with business functions to implement mitigation plans based on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis of any identified minor/major non-conformities or improvement opportunities. Directs the development and execution of communication plans, including status to business leadership and / or to function stakeholders. Provides input and lessons learned on processes, procedures, tools and techniques and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business functions.

Position Responsibilities:

QMS Implementation.

  • Responsible for ensuring that processes needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained,

  • Collaborates with business functions for development and implementation of requisite Quality Assurance Plans to effectively meet the established QMS and first-time quality requirements for each and every Programs / Contracts.

  • Maintains the performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement.

  • Lead and develop a team of quality product acceptance specialists and quality systems specialist to deliver first-time quality (FTQ) for BIDPL contracts process and products for

2. Compliance and Governance.

  • Managing the QMS internal and external audit program and performing audits to evaluate Boeing Defence India's (BDI) Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable contract, certification and/or regulatory requirements for conformity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Ensure that the QMS system complies with relevant regulatory standards and internal governance policies.

3. Continuous Improvement.

  • Monitor system performance and business processes, identifying areas for further optimization and efficiency.

  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvements based on feedback from users, internal & external audits and evolving business needs.

  • Oversee the identification of risks & impacts at a strategic level

  • Implement mitigation plans based on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis of any identified minor/major non-conformities, incidents/accidents or improvement opportunities

4. Stakeholder Management.

  • Act as the liaison between business functions and any third-party vendors for ensuring implementation of Quality Plans and Quality oversight mechanism.

  • Regularly update stakeholders on the system's performance, improvements, and future requirements.

  • Help resolve any conflicts or challenges between different departments related to QMS.

5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting.

  • Analyzes performance results, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the QMS on business efficiency, cost reduction, and profitability.

  • Prepare and present reports to senior management about quality leading and lagging performance indicators, and areas of improvements.

6. Change Management.

  • Address any resistance to changes brought about by the QMS implementation, helping employees adapt to new workflows and processes.

  • Lead initiatives to ensure that the company culture embraces the system changes.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration.

  • Coordinate with functions to ensure alignment of QMS processes across the organization.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in system & process improvement efforts.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION and 12 + years of relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in providing quality oversight in aviation industry in the field of aircraft sustenance, maintenance, PBL, design and operations.

  • 10+ years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS) I.e. ISO9001 (International Organization for Standardization) and AS91001 (Aerospace Standard)

  • ​​​Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Possess current Lead Quality Audit Certification (ISO9001 or AS9100)

  • Quality Management System knowledge as it relates to Industry, Boeing and GOI-MOD standards

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Change management and Risk management experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and 13+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters) and 12+ years' related work experience.
