Role Overview

We are seeking Power System Engineers with hands-on experience in grid compliance and integration studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory (DIgSILENT). The role involves performing detailed analysis, simulation, and modelling of renewable energy projects connected to transmission and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies for utility-scale Solar PV, Wind, and BESS projects.
  • Conduct load flow, short circuit, contingency, and harmonic analyses.
  • Execute reactive power sizing and optimization (Inverters, SVG/STATCOM, APFC panels).
  • Carry out dynamic studies (LVRT, HVRT, FFR, power curtailment, etc.).
  • Develop and validate models in PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
  • Conduct protection coordination, islanding, and black start studies.
  • Prepare grid compliance reports in line with Indian, African, Middle Eastern, and international grid codes.
  • Perform scripting and automation for study workflows (Python preferred).
  • Support business development through technical documentation and presentations.

Tools & Software

  • Mandatory:
    PSS/E, PSCAD
  • Preferred:
    DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, EMTP, CDEGS, MATLAB, SSAT

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with hybrid renewable systems (Solar + Wind + BESS).
  • Exposure to Green Hydrogen, HVDC, and FACTS systems.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas, Data Centers, or industrial power systems.
  • Understanding of IEC, IEEE, NEC, and regional grid codes.
  • Field exposure to relay settings, harmonic measurement, or site testing is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 to 7 years experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel within India and internationally.
  • Commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
