Senior Accountant

JOB TITLE: SENIOR ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Location: Chinchwad, Pune

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Directors

Job Purpose

The Senior Accounts Officer will oversee company-wide accounting, financial

reporting, loan/funding management, and compliance activities. The role

focuses on maintaining accuracy in accounts, ensuring timely fund

arrangements for projects, and optimizing financial costs through effective

loan and interest management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

 Maintain and finalize books of accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash

Flow).

 Ensure accuracy of journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

 Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

1. Loan & Fund Management

 Conduct loan analysis and identify opportunities to reduce interest

burden.

 Arrange alternative funding/loan options at lower interest rates.

 Ensure timely payment of loan instalments to avoid penalties.

 Coordinate with banks for fund arrangements to support smooth

project execution.

 Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions to secure

favourable terms.

1. Compliance & Audit

 Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory

requirements.

 Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.

 Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audits.

1. Budgeting, MIS & Financial Planning

 Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

 Prepare and analyze MIS reports for management review.

 Monitor budget variances and provide corrective recommendations.

 Support management in decision-making with cost optimization

strategies.

1. Procurement and Vendor Payments:

 Coordinate with purchase and site teams for vendor bills verification.

 Ensure timely processing and payment of vendor bills.

 Purchase invoice cheque with purchase order.

 Proper coordinate site engineer's & vendor's & office staff kindly

requires attending phone calls.

 Vendor payment outstanding prepare by only a/c dept.

 Timely paid all electricity bill, rent, factory water bill all site.

 Monthly meeting with CA & Directors.

 Project wise cost centre payment proper mentions.

1. Petty Cash Management

 Track day-to-day petty cash expenses for smooth project site

operations.

 Ensure proper documentation and approval for petty cash

transactions.

 Monitor cash flow position and suggest corrective measures for

liquidity.

1. Asset Management

 Maintain records of fixed assets, depreciation, and asset allocation per

project.

 Develop internal controls and accounting procedures.

 Support contract administration by understanding commercial clauses.

 Manage fund flow and working capital requirements.

 Prepare monthly stock.

8.Team & Process Management

 Supervise and guide junior accountants in daily operations.

 Implement internal controls to strengthen accounting processes.

 Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

 Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA-Inter or equivalent.

 Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of experience in accounting,

loan/fund management & financial operations (preferably in

construction/infrastructure Experience with Company turn

over above 50Cr.

 Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / SAP / other accounting software.

o Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory

compliances.

o Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial reporting.

 Soft Skills:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent communication and negotiation skills with

banks/financial institutions.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

o Leadership and team management abilities.

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
