Summary of Key Functions:
- Provide effective and efficient technical support for implementation of construction;
- Assist in planning, designs, and implementation and ensure on time delivery of construction completion and work together with relevant communities on the field;
- Conduct field visit and prepare the necessary report in order to monitor the implementation of activities and
- Provides administration and logistic support in order to support implementation of activities
1. Provide effective and efficient technical support for implementation of construction.
- Provide technical support in preparation of technical drawings, plans and designs for minimum standard requirement for the construction tasks as required by the specific needs;
- Provide technical support for the specifications and Bill of Quantities;
- Assist in field assessment action to ensure the feasibility of location against proposed construction (including providing recommendations on alternative construction locations);
- Participate in developing the detailed drawings and related documentation based on field assessment;
- Carry out surveying to support programme implementation;
- Provide support for the technical and materials specification and
- Provide the estimation cost.
2. Assist in planning, designs, and implementation and ensure on time delivery of construction completion and work together with relevant communities on the field;
- Conduct materials checking prior to the commencement of construction work;
- Maintain close contact with construction workers and construction supervisor on the ground.
- Checking and verify that the finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
3. Conduct field visit and prepare the necessary report in order to monitor the implementation of activities;
- Support in provision of raw data for of brief progress report on construction processes and completion and
- Ensure that technical documentation on construction site is maintained in accordance with relevant national laws and standards and contract for works.
4. Provides administration and logistic support in order to support implementation of activities.
- Assist the Procurement Team to prepare technical specification for materials for procuring the materials.
- Ensure that necessary supporting documentation is in place and
- Prepare and maintain status reports for projects under implementation and for completed projects.

Required Skills and Experience
Recruitment Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and post graduation from NICMR
Experience
- Minimum 1 years of progressively responsible related to public works constructions experience is required at the national or international level for candidates with Bachelor Degree.
- Experience in a highly complex and dynamic environment preferred.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian; and
Fluency in spoken English and a working ability in written English.
General Requirements
- Demonstrated experience on construction work.
- Demonstrated experience in production of detailed design and materials calculation.
- Demonstrated abilities in working with communities.
- Demonstrated familiarity with UNDP development projects in Indonesia and an understanding of Government and UN/UNDP procedures would be desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and advanced computer skills.
- Good inter-personal and team building skills.
Other Requirements
- In addition to the scope and output stated above, the incumbent will be required to undertake other ad hoc tasks that may arise during the contract period. These tasks will be delegated by the incumbent's supervisor who will ensure that these ad hoc tasks do not impede on the incumbent's ability to meet contractual obligations/deliverables.
