Job description

  • *Project Planning:*

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all project phases (procurement, construction, commissioning).

  • Identify project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.

Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that all phases of the project are planned effectively.

  • Resource Allocation

Determine the required resources (manpower, materials, equipment) for each phase of the project.

Optimize resource usage by leveling workloads and ensuring that resources are available when needed.

  • Cost Management:

Prepare and monitor project budgets, including cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.

Track project costs and expenditures, and identify any deviations from the budget.

Provide cost analysis and forecasting to assist in financial decision-making.

  • Scheduling

Use specialized software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to create, update, and maintain project schedules.

Monitor and report on the progress of the project, comparing actual performance against the schedule.

Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope or unforeseen delays.

  • Risk Management

* Identify potential risks that could impact the project schedule or budget.

* Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and minimize their impact.

  • Coordination and Communication

* Liaise with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.

* Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team and clients on the status of the project.

* Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and filed appropriately.

*Qualifications:*

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Experience: 5-10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in the civil construction industry.
