Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design FTTX (FTTH, FTTB, FTTT, FTTC) Fiber networks and Copper-based telecom infrastructure on Client Software ARAMIS and Waldo.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and performance of proposed designs.
  • Ensure compliance with US telecom General and Regional standards, regulations, and best practices in US telecom telecom design.
  • Stay informed about US telecom General Updates and Engineering updates on FTTH Fiber and Copper telecom networks.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to define design objectives and specifications.
  • Experienced on Various US telecom Tools to create network layouts, schematics, and construction drawings and other Required platforms to Customer Required as Deliverable.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in FTTX (G-PON) designing and Knowledge on Reading Copper Networks and understanding of Copper Terminology.
  • Understanding of the Feeder Fiber, F1 Fiber , PFP splitters Design.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom systems, technologies, OSP/ISP, and architecture.
  • Sound knowledge in network design tools like ARAMIS, AUTOCAD, WALDO, IQ GEO , ARC GIS and other US telecom Platforms which is commonly used in FTTH such as AOTX , MIC, NOVA FPA , WEBXNG , Imagine etc.
  • A thorough understanding/experience in the Outside Plant telecom industry, public right-of-way, private easements, existing utilities such as water, sewer, electric, gas, and other underground and aerial utilities.
  • A good understanding on the Requirement on Permits and Jurisdiction Requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data and insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as need to communicate with overseas team.
  • Proven experience in US Telecom FTTH/ BAU will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience Requirement:

Minimum 2 years of experience in FTTH on US telecom Design Engineering Projects.

Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communication/Telecommunicates/ Civil/Mechanical or related field.
