Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex systems using Linux Shell Scripting OmniPlus Omni Script VSAM and Cobol to meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of scalable solutions that enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Analyze and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements translating them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for system architecture and design processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve user experience.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap development for future product enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in Linux Shell Scripting OmniPlus Omni Script VSAM and Cobol demonstrating a deep understanding of these technologies.
  • Have a strong background in Life and Annuities Insurance providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical issues effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Show a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects within specified timelines.
  • Display a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
  • Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
