The background story
I need someone who does what I am doing right now, well at least a part of it. When we started 5By7 we were 2 people in a cabin, now we're 25+ and growing. We've never had an 'HR' before, we don't need an 'HR'; we need a high EQ empathetic leader to help us grow 5By7 to the next level.
What will you do?
Some of this may sound fancy (and sometimes it maybe not), but we are really looking for someone who can help us do the following :
- Build a talent pipeline: plan and execute hiring, onboarding
- Manage people & performance: help us answer how we can grow to be a bigger more efficient company
- Get a happy, inspiring work culture going

- We're not a funded company on steroids that will be a unicorn soon
- We don't have any IIT/IIM/Type-A sexy work-culture

Skills Required
What you should have
I find it hard to say that we need some experience since exceptional talent can come from anywhere, but we do need some experience in a previous HR role (even better if you were sick of how HR was looked at before and you desperately wanted to change the status quo; yes you can use this line if I ask you 'why do you want to leave your current role' and no you won't get extra points for using this).
Ok, ideally :
- You should have some (3-5 years) of experience in the HR multiple roles like recruiting, performance review etc.
- You should have killer people insight (high EQ/maturity)
- You should want to make a difference every day: grow, learn, impact
- You should be aspiring to build a legacy in your work
