Job Summary:

The Senior Waiter is responsible for delivering excellent guest service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and supervising junior wait staff. The role involves maintaining high standards of food & beverage service, assisting in training team members, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
• Supervise and guide waiters, commis waiters, and stewards during service.
• Ensure table settings, cleanliness, and ambiance are maintained as per restaurant standards.
• Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints efficiently and politely.
• Assist in daily briefing, menu knowledge updates, and upselling techniques.
• Monitor food and beverage quality before serving to guests.
• Ensure proper billing, cash handling, and coordination with the cashier.
• Support Restaurant Supervisor/Manager in smooth shift operations.
• Train and mentor new or junior staff members.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and grooming standards consistently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably in a fine dining or multi-cuisine restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards and menu items.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate a team.
• Customer-focused with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of billing procedures.
