Job Description: Sheet Metal Laser Cutting Operator

Location: Surajpur Site 4 ,Near Honda chowk, Greater Noida

Department: Production / Fabrication

Employment Type: Full-time / Shift-based

**Role Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Laser Cutting Operator** to join our sheet metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision-cut metal components, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the process.


**Key Responsibilities**

  • Set up and operate **laser cutting machines** (e.g., Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic) for sheet metal processing.

  • Interpret **engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders** to determine cutting requirements.

  • Select appropriate **cutting programs, fixtures, and materials** for each job.

  • Adjust machine settings including **laser beam focal point, speed, and power** for optimal cutting.

  • Perform **dimensional inspections** using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.

  • Conduct **routine maintenance and cleaning** of laser equipment.

  • Identify and report **defective materials or machine issues** to supervisors.

  • Maintain a **clean, organized, and safe work environment** in compliance with safety protocols.


**Qualifications & Skills**

  • Minimum **1–2 years of experience** operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing setup.

  • Familiarity with **sheet metal materials** (MS, SS, aluminum) and thickness variations.

  • Ability to read and interpret **technical drawings and CAD files**.

  • Basic knowledge of **machine programming and CNC controls**.

  • Strong attention to detail and **quality assurance mindset**.

  • Physically fit to handle sheet metal and stand for extended periods.

  • Team player with good communication and time management skills.


Preferred

  • Experience with **nesting software** (e.g., SigmaNEST, Lantek).

  • Exposure to **lean manufacturing** or **5S practices**.

  • Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Fabrication / Tool & Die / Production Engineering.


Growth Path
