Description

Head - Release, Planning & Testing Management plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Core Banking software and system changes are delivered reliably, efficiently, and with high quality across the organization. Here's a comprehensive breakdown of the job purpose: 
1. Strategic Oversight: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases and testing activities across multiple programs or platforms. 
2. Governance & Compliance: Ensure all releases and testing processes adhere to regulatory, security, and internal standards .
3. Quality Assurance Leadership: Champion a culture of quality by embedding robust testing practices throughout the development lifecycle .

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the entire release lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality delivery of software products. 
  2. This includes managing release planning, coordinating with development, QA, and operations teams to align release schedules and ensure readiness. 
  3. Responsible for defining testing strategies, implementing best practices for test planning, execution, and defect management, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage throughout the SDLC. =
  4. Improvement in release and testing processes, leveraging tools for automation and efficiency. 
  5. Identify and mitigate risks to the release cycle, ensuring defects are tracked and resolved. 
  6. Monitoring the effectiveness of release processes, providing detailed progress reports to stakeholders, and ensuring that all releases meet business requirements and quality standards will be key functions of this role.

M.Tech/B.Tech Or Equivalent Bachelors Degree
