We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team at our Nifty mine. An exciting new contract for Macmahon, this person will be a crucial member of our team. You will provide specialist environmental guidance, ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage environmental risks.

About the Role

  • Designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to track key parameters and report on environmental performance.
  • Communicating with government regulators, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Providing environmental expertise and support for operational improvements.
  • Assisting in the investigation of environmental incidents and developing corrective actions.
  • Preparing reports on environmental performance, compliance, and risk assessments.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental management, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in environmental management within the mining industry, ideally open-cut mining.
  • Strong knowledge of WA environmental legislation and management systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate environmental issues and coordinate environmental projects.
  • Proven ability to utilise a risk-based approach to triage and prioritise a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.
