Program Buyer

Location Dhankot - Haryana, India

YOUR TASKS

  • Responsible for the development of products such as ECUs, Control Modules, Controllers, EMS, Connectivity Devices, and Sensors.
  • Possess strong costing knowledge of mechanical, electronics, and electrical components including plastics, metals, die-casting, mechanical hybrids, and PCBs.
  • Prepare cost estimations for both Mechanical-BOM and Electrical-BOM (E-BOM).
  • Handle re-design initiatives to optimize BOM cost; identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through commercial benchmarking and competitive bidding.
  • Manage and develop the supplier base for mechanical parts to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Handle escalations related to delivery, quality, and cost, ensuring alignment with the expectations of internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and align with global teams to support supplier development in line with future business requirements.
  • Work extensively in the SAP MM module to perform procurement and purchasing tasks.
  • Handle global sourcing including sending RFQs and collecting supplier quotations; supplier evaluation and nomination; issuing Purchase Orders (PO) and nomination letters; managing supplier tooling payments.
  • Manage contractual activities including signing agreements and contracts with suppliers
  • Handle change management processes including ECN, PCN/PTN.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
  • 5~10 years in an Automotive Tier1 in purchasing
  • Good Negotiator
  • Proficiency in Excel/ PowerPoint
  • knowledge of sourcing processes
  • Decision Maker
