Job Description: International Business Development ManagerPosition Overview

We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager to drive business growth in international markets, with a primary focus on Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) technical sales or Oil & Gas project sales, with proven ability to develop and convert business opportunities outside India.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in international markets, particularly in Africa
  • Generate and manage a robust pipeline of leads through strategic prospecting and networking
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging opportunities in the Oil & Gas and NDT sectors
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for target regions

Sales & Client Management

  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles from lead qualification to contract closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve profitable business outcomes
  • Achieve assigned revenue and business development targets

Market Expansion

  • Travel extensively to international markets to meet clients and close deals
  • Represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Gather competitive intelligence and market insights to inform business strategy
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution alignment with client requirements

Required QualificationsExperience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in international technical sales
  • Must have experience in either:
  • NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) technical sales, OR
  • Oil & Gas project sales
  • Proven track record of business development in international markets (outside India)
  • Experience working in or selling to African markets is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in lead qualification and conversion

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding of NDT services or Oil & Gas industry operations
  • Excellent lead qualification and prospecting abilities
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in international markets with minimal supervision
  • Strong business acumen and commercial negotiation capabilities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales management software
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
