Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a strong technical background in metallurgy and a proven record of driving sales in the metals and steel industry. The role will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer accounts, and expanding our presence across both public sector undertakings (PSUs) and major private sector steel companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities within the metallurgy and steel sectors.

- Understand client technical and commercial requirements to provide customized solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Lead negotiations and oversee contract finalization.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor activities.
- Coordinate internally with technical, production, and support teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the metallurgy, steel, or industrial equipment sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in working with PSU clients and major steel companies listed above.
- Solid technical understanding of metals, alloys, heat treatment processes, and relevant industrial applications.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage complex client accounts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required by business needs.
