1. Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (sales, expenses, payroll, etc.).
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of bank statements, vendor invoices, and customer payments.
  • Prepare and maintain ledgers, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

2. Cash Flow and Fund Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements.
  • Manage working capital efficiently — ensuring timely vendor payments and customer collections.
  • Optimize use of available funds to minimize idle cash.

3. Budgeting and Financial Planning

  • Prepare annual and quarterly budgets aligned with company goals.
  • Track actual performance vs. budget and highlight variances.
  • Prepare financial projections for management and investors.
  • Support cost-control initiatives and identify saving opportunities.

4. Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze profitability, margins, and business performance metrics.
  • Present key insights and recommendations to management.
  • Maintain MIS (Management Information System) dashboards.

5. Taxation and Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and income tax returns.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
  • Maintain compliance with MCA, ROC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations.

6. Banking and Investor Coordination

  • Liaise with banks for loans, credit facilities, and fund transfers.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and vendors.
  • Assist management in preparing financial data for investor decks and funding rounds.

7. Payroll and Employee Reimbursements

  • Process monthly salaries, incentives, and reimbursements.
  • Handle statutory deductions like PF, ESI, and professional tax.
  • Maintain employee cost records for budgeting and reporting.

8. Support for Business Decisions

  • Provide data-driven financial inputs for strategic planning.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of new projects or contracts.
  • Support pricing decisions, cost negotiations, and resource allocation.

9. Systems and Process Improvement

  • Implement accounting software (like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks).
  • Standardize financial documentation and approval workflows.
  • Develop internal financial policies and control mechanisms.
