Payroll Executive

Role & responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees on a monthly basis in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collect, verify, and reconcile timesheets and attendance records.
- Ensure proper calculation of salaries, deductions, taxes, and other payroll components.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the HR/payroll system.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, tax, payslips, and other payroll matters.
- Coordinate with HR for inputs such as new joiners, exits, promotions, and salary revisions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESI, TDS, professional tax, etc.).
- Generate payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as required.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and best practices.
- Assist employees with queries related to income tax, salary structure, Form 16, HRA, 80C, etc.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Commerce or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing or related roles.
- Knowledge of payroll software (e.g. HROne) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Indian payroll regulations and statutory compliance.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills'
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Experience in handling payroll for 500+ employees.
- Familiarity with Excel functions, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
