Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator who can lead a small team, manage critical systems, and ensure seamless IT operations across the organization. The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing Actowiz Solutions' IT infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, networks, and security systems. The candidate will lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring smooth day-to-day support for employees while proactively improving system efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

· Team Leadership & Operations

o Lead a team of 3–4 IT professionals, managing day-to-day IT operations and providing technical mentorship.

o Conduct regular floor walks and provide direct support to employees.

o Manage IT shift rosters and ensure timely issue resolution and escalation handling.

· System Administration

o Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.

o Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange services.

o Administer VMware infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, vSAN, and vMotion.

o Plan and execute VMware environment upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.

o Build, track occupancy, assign, troubleshoot, and configure virtual machines.

o Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) plans for virtual workloads.

· Network & Security

o Actively monitor and maintain firewalls (preferably Fortinet), VPNs, and network security.

o Basic understanding of Cisco switch configurations (Nexus & Catalyst series).

o Maintain network performance and proactively resolve connectivity or configuration issues.

· Asset & Expense Management

o Responsible for hardware/software procurement and maintaining expense records.

o Maintain accurate IT asset management and incident tracking systems.

o Prepare and maintain SOPs, documentation, and reports using MS Office tools.

· Support & Escalation

o Provide after-hours support in critical situations or emergencies.

o Troubleshoot complex issues promptly and minimize downtime through proactive monitoring

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· 4–5 years of experience in System Administration or a similar role (mandatory).

· Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and networking fundamentals.

· Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange administration.

· Experience managing VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, HA, DRS, and vMotion.

· Familiarity with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud environments (preferred).

· Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, and network security protocols.

· Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

· Ability to lead a small team and communicate effectively with cross-functional departments.

· Flexibility to support after-hours maintenance or emergency incidents..

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):

· VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

· Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

· Fortinet NSE or Cisco CCNA
