What you will be doing
We are seeking an energetic, versatile, and collaborative Marketing and Communications Manager to join the founding team of this business and help us upend the current software engineering education space whilst improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tech sector. Reporting to the CCO and working regularly with the Head of Operations regarding student-related activity, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be a generalist marketer excited to grow the businesss marketing function, engaging with prospective and current students and spreading Networks message to relevant audiences.
Your main responsibilities will be
Lead Posspole Catalyst marketing efforts (e.g., social media, copywriting, press releases and press engagement and execution, etc).
Work and cooperate with marketing partners (e.g., agencies and freelancers, liaising between the school operations team and external stakeholders).
- Plan and execute events with the operations and community team to: Lead student acquisition and retention initiatives (e.g., promoting and supporting the operation of open days, hackathons and other campus activities, and.
- Showcase our coding institute to the wider ecosystem.
- Integrate the Marketing function into all business processes, working with: Head of Operations on student onboarding, tracking diversity metrics.
- Corporate and community partners, (e.g., helping with business development, partner acquisition and account management, among others).
- Analyse and report the impact of different marketing activities and campaigns on student acquisition, retention and sentiment and make data-driven recommendations to improve future results.
- Conducting market research and creating an integrated marketing strategy for the entire student journey from awareness to brand advocacy.
Experience and Skills we are looking for .
- Background in Management, Marketing, or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in similar functions, preferably in the tech.
- Transversal understanding of the digital transformation, ecosystem, and new technologies.
- Demonstrable interest in the tech and/or education sectors would be preferable.
- Relevant marketing experience either leading or supporting within a marketing function covering social media, PR, content creation and distribution, events, etc.
- Strong understanding of different marketing channels and their impact (e.g.: (social media, email marketing and SEO).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to create content relatable to the target market based on research findings and observations.
- Strong presentation design and layout skills
- Project management skills with the ability to plan and organize a brand/ Company launch.
- Ability to collaborate with different stakeholder levels and teams across the Organization.
- Sensitive and efficient stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- A passion for tackling inequality in the tech sector and broader society
- Experience in an environment using peer-to-peer (P2P) learning is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in combination with technical savvy to make good decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, resourceful, and entrepreneurial with a hands-on mentality.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail.
