Sales Manager - Purlins & Mounting Structures

Location: Anywhere in Tamilnadu and ready to relocate to Coimbatore.

Industry: Renewable Energy / Steel Structures / Solar EPC

Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Manager to drive sales of C/Z purlins and structural components for solar mounting applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel products and proven experience in B2B sales within the solar energy or infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to promote purlins and mounting structures to clients in the solar industry

Identify and target solar EPCs, developers, system integrators, and contractors involved in ground-mount PV projects

Manage existing accounts and build long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders

Provide technical consultation to clients on appropriate steel sections (C/Z) for various solar structures

Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to deliver client-specific solutions

Prepare quotations, technical offers, and commercial proposals

Track and respond to tenders, RFPs, and project inquiries in the renewable energy sector

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and new project developments

Participate in trade shows, expos, and solar industry events

Key Requirements:

Any degree

3–7 years of experience in B2B sales of steel structures, purlins, or solar mounting systems

Strong client base or industry network in solar EPCs, developers, and infrastructure contractors

Familiarity with C/Z section purlins

Ability to understand technical drawings, BOQs, and structural layout requirements

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project discussions

Solar mounting structure manufacturers

Roll forming or steel fabrication companies

Renewable energy EPCs

Pre-engineered buildings (PEBs)

Steel/metal building material suppliers
