Position Overview

The Vice President Finance & Accounting will be a strategic partner to the CFO, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving business profitability. This role demands extensive real estate industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of working closely with top management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the end-to-end annual budgeting process and present to the board.
  • Develop accurate financial forecasts using advanced tools and analysis.
  • Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis with corrective actions.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Assess and improve the companys financial performance.
  • Provide regular reports on actual performance versus budgets and strategic objectives.
  • Support key strategic decisions with data-driven financial insights.

3. Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure business continuity.
  • Optimize capital allocation to support growth and profitability.

4. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting as per applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee statutory audits and coordinate with auditors.
  • Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance.

5. Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate internal and external financial risks.
  • Implement robust risk management frameworks and policies.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the bridge between operational teams and strategic finance planning.

7. Special Projects

  • Lead special financial projects, including M&A analysis, investment evaluations, and expansion planning.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with at least 15 years in the real estate industry
  • Proven track record of working directly with the CFO in a leadership capacity
  • Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cash flow management, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial regulations and industry practices
