Project Manager Cinema Projects

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of cinema development projects, including new setups, renovations, and technology upgrades. This role involves coordination with consultants, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

  1. Consultant Appointment & Budgeting

  2. Identify and appoint consultants with expertise in cinema projects within approved budgets.

  3. Ensure alignment of project scope and deliverables with management expectations.

  4. Project Execution & Monitoring

  5. Oversee execution of projects from initiation to completion, including site supervision, technology installations, and renovation works.

  6. Prepare prefeasibility reports, conduct property surveys, and recommend necessary modifications.

  7. Design & Tender Review

  8. Review all tender BOQs and drawings (Interior, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, ELV systems) with architects and consultants.

  9. Suggest design alterations or improvements based on project requirements.

  10. Verify and approve GFC drawings before execution.

  11. Project Planning & Coordination

  12. Develop workflow charts and work breakdown structures to define timelines and dependencies.

  13. Coordinate with procurement for timely material and contractor arrangements.

  14. Oversee installation of sound systems, projection setups, and other cinema-specific equipment.

  15. Progress Tracking & Reporting

  16. Conduct project kick-off meetings and monitor daily progress.

  17. Prepare and submit weekly project status reports to management.

  18. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  19. Ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations at all project sites.

  20. Conduct site inspections and review material test reports and installation certifications.

  21. Implement quality control measures to maintain project standards.

  22. Project Closure

  23. Oversee snag list resolution before project completion and support post-completion follow-ups.

  24. Ensure smooth handover of documents and as-built drawings to the Operations team.

  25. Team Leadership & Training

  26. Mentor and train the project engineering team on project processes and progress plans.

  27. Identify skill gaps and implement training programs for continuous improvement.

  28. Cross-functional Support

  29. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams for periodic repairs and support requirements.

  30. Align project team goals with organizational objectives and policies.

  31. Stakeholder & Resource Management

  32. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  33. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to achieve defined targets.
