Job Title: NPD Industrialization Engineer
Position Summary: The NPD Industrialization Engineer is responsible for transitioning new products from design into efficient, cost-effective and quality-driven manufacturing processes. This role ensures production readiness, process capability and scalability are achieved before launch, working closely with design, quality, sourcing, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead industrialization activities for new product introductions from prototype to mass production
Translate product design specifications into manufacturable processes, tools, and equipment Plan and execute process validation, pilot runs, and production readiness reviews
Develop and optimize assembly processes, layouts, work instructions and SOPs
Identify and specify jigs, fixtures, test equipment, and automation requirements
Support supplier development and qualification for critical components and outsourced processes
Drive DFM/DFA reviews with engineering teams to improve manufacturability
Analyze production data to improve cycle time, yield, and cost before and after launch
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements during industrialization
Document lessons learned and implement continuous improvements for future launches
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production or Manufacturing Engineering
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, plastics, sheet metal, electronics, etc.)
Hands-on experience with process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC
Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and PLM tools
Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma exposure is a plus
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills
Key Competencies:

Strong stakeholder management and communication
Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple projects
Proactive in identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures
Performance Metrics:
On-time industrialization of new products
Achievement of cost, quality, and yield targets at launch
Successful completion of process validations and audits
Implementation of lessons learned into subsequent projects
