Director – Operations (GCC Account)

Location:

Pune (Balewadi)

Shift:

IST with 3–4 hours overlap with EST

Role Overview :

This role is the single point of ownership for day-to-day GCC operations across recruitment, finance coordination, HR, facilities, compliance, and client communication. The Director will partner with the Country Head and global leaders to build, scale and manage the GCC from the ground up. The role is ideal for someone who has set up or scaled a GCC and is comfortable owning both strategy and execution, with strong hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition and high-volume hiring environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. GCC Setup & Scale-up (Ground Up)

  • Build the GCC from scratch, covering processes, teams, governance and ways of working.
  • Define site strategy, org structure, capacity planning and ramp-up roadmap.
  • Work with IT, Admin, HR, Finance, Legal and business teams to operationalize the center.

2. End-to-End Operations Ownership

  • Own all day-to-day operations for the GCC in Pune, including:
  • Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
  • Drive hiring strategy with TA teams and ensure high-quality ramp-up.
  • Manage high-volume hiring, leadership hiring and niche technical hiring as needed.
  • Operational delivery, issue resolution and process governance.
  • Finance coordination, budgeting inputs and cost tracking.
  • Client communication and governance calls.
  • Office facilities, vendor coordination and space planning.
  • HR and People Operations: onboarding, engagement, performance cycles (in partnership with HR).
  • Compliance & regulatory adherence with support from legal and compliance.
  • Track and manage SLAs, KPIs and service quality across all functions.
  • Proactively escalate risks, resolve issues and ensure operational continuity.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary operations contact for GCC client leadership and internal senior stakeholders.
  • Lead governance forums, review meetings and performance updates.
  • Build strong client relationships and translate expectations into clear operational plans.

4. People Leadership & Cross-Functional Management

  • Build and lead a multi-functional operations team across TA, HR, finance ops, facilities and delivery.
  • Work closely with TA and HR to hire, onboard and retain talent across functions.
  • Ensure clear responsibilities and ownership across teams.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative and customer-focused culture.

5. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all GCC operations comply with Reliable Group policies, client requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate audits, documentation, certifications and compliance reviews.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.

6. Continuous Improvement & Efficiency

  • Drive process improvements, automation, standardization and efficiency initiatives across the GCC.
  • Use metrics to improve cost, productivity, hiring speed, quality of hire and operational performance.
  • Benchmark processes against industry best practices to keep the GCC competitive.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in operations, center management or GCC leadership roles.
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience in setting up or scaling a GCC / large center in India.
  • Strong background in Talent Acquisition, including volume hiring, niche tech hiring and workforce planning.
  • Experience leading multi-functional operations (TA, HR, finance coordination, facilities, compliance).
  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and global client relationships.
  • Strong people leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and execution skills.
