Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Ophthalmologist to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. The position level is Junior, and we offer both full-time and part-time employment opportunities. The ideal candidate should have between 1 to 3 years of work experience in the field of ophthalmology.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical settings related to ophthalmology is required to effectively perform in this role.
  • Proficiency in conducting visual acuity testing, which is essential to ascertain the vision clarity of patients accurately.
  • Competence in performing slit lamp examinations (Mandatory skill) to evaluate the health of patients' eyes is crucial.
  • Experience in ocular imaging is required to assist in diagnosing and documenting eye conditions accurately.
  • Refraction skills are necessary to determine the correct lens prescription to correct vision impairments.
  • Ability to maintain thorough and detailed medical documentation is essential for tracking patient history and treatment plans.
  • Effective communication skills to explain medical procedures and treatment options to patients in an understandable manner.
  • Must have skills include clinical ophthalmology, visual acuity testing, and slit lamp examination (Mandatory skill).

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess the health of patients' eyes and visual acuity.
  • Diagnose and treat various ocular conditions and provide appropriate management plans.
  • Perform and interpret results from slit lamp examinations to identify eye disorders or diseases.
  • Refine patients' vision prescriptions through accurate refraction techniques.
  • Maintain detailed patient medical records and ensure precise documentation of treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and develop treatment strategies.
  • Educate patients and provide them with comprehensive understanding of their eye conditions and treatment options.
