Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team at Spandana Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years to a maximum of 6 years of work experience. This mid-level position is open for both full-time and part-time employment. As an Ophthalmologist, you will diagnose and treat various eye conditions, providing excellent patient care in our state-of-the-art facilities located in Bangalore.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in laser eye surgery, optical coherence tomography, and phacoemulsification is mandatory, ensuring proficiency in these key eye care procedures.
  • Proficiency in fluorescent angiography techniques, enabling precision in diagnosing retinal conditions through the use of advanced imaging methods.
  • Skilled in corneal topography, allowing for accurate assessment and mapping of corneal surfaces to assist in treatment planning.
  • Experience with intraocular lens implantation, offering patients effective solutions for cataract and refractive errors through surgical expertise.
  • Proficient in EHR management systems to accurately record and manage patient data, ensuring seamless healthcare delivery.
  • Expertise in oculoplastic surgery is essential, including skills in eyelid reconstruction and tear drainage system repairs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, providing clear explanations and compassionate care.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations and consultations, diagnosing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions with precision.
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures such as laser eye surgery, phacoemulsification, and other corrective surgeries.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to develop effective treatment plans and evaluate treatment outcomes.
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care throughout their treatment journey.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to provide the highest standard of integrated care for each patient.
  • Educate patients on eye health and preventative measures, promoting long-term health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to confidentiality protocols and legal requirements.
