Job Description - Trainee Technician (Maintenance)
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT:

  • Technician Maintenance should do maintenance of all equipment's and assist, engineer / technician attending to breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist in installation of new Equipment's.
  • Attending to his work with all Environment Health and Safety considerations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend to breakdown immediately on receiving request.
  • Coordinate with Asst managers and senior engineers of Maintenance to solve breakdowns
  • To conduct preventive maintenance of equipment's.
  • To ensure hydraulic oils and lubricant are available at the required quantities in the equipment's.
  • To note compressor readings and ensure are in healthy condition.
  • To enter the breakdown summary in the system.
  • Assist OEM engineer to solve breakdowns in our Plant.
  • Work in shifts.
  • To exercise control over the daily consumption of utility items and track variances on a periodic basis.
  • Control the mechanical contract costs of the plant and find avenues to reduce the cost through continuous development of new vendors.

Education Qualification:

  • Diploma / B. Tech in Mechatronics.

Experience Required:

  • Relevant 2-3 years' Experience
  • Preferably candidate in a manufacturing unit handling CNC machines maintenance.

:

  • Analysing a breakdown and plan for solving it.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate across different teams and stakeholders.

Health and Safety awareness for a Manufacturing environment:

  • Ensuring safety of the plant and compliance to SHE guidelines in regular plant maintenance as well in projects
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation & Local engineering Procedures.
  • Assessment of Hazards and identification of Critical Elements.
  • Audit Process.
  • Participate in Planned workplace inspections, Risk Assessment, near miss reporting, accident investigations.
  • Ensure closure of Planned Workplace Inspection action points by the factory team pertaining to engineering by mobilizing resources and tracking action.
