Conversion and Operations Adviser

The Conversion and Operations Adviser colleague will play a vital role in supporting the

recruitment team at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). Working closely with the recruitment team this

colleague will play a vital role in the achievement of agreed international student recruitment

targets. This role will suit an enthusiastic, energetic individual who is willing to take initiative and is a natural problem solver with a 'can-do' attitude. The colleague will lead on a variety of operational activities, including following up with prospective students via calls and written communication,

responding to queries, preparing reports and, supporting compliance processes. The role may also

require occasional travel for recruitment events, partner engagement, and student-facing activities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed conversion targets by proactively engaging with prospective students to share key information about ARU, and respond to a wide range of queries from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Support student communications via multiple platforms, including the shared enquiry email boxes and other digital engagement tools.
  • Conduct student interviews to assess suitability, motivation and readiness, documenting outcomes in line with admissions processes
  • Share insights on ARU's academic programs, student engagement opportunities, facilities, and city-specific benefits.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate tracking of student interactions to inform conversion strategies and internal reporting.
  • Participate in recruitment fairs, institutional visits, and student engagement events as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the recruitment team and contribute to daily operational activities and project-based tasks.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Proactive and resourceful, with a strong student-first mindset.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of one or more regional Indian languages is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of sales and customer service principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effi ciently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage confi dently with diverse audiences.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results oriented.
  • Collaborative team player with a proven ability to work across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Offi ce, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting.
