 Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum 20 years of industrial experience
  • Foundry and Steel Arch Furnace experience is preferred
  • Sound understanding of Vendors supplying materials for plant maintenance
  • Very well versed with plant operations
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as maintenance manager or similar role
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Leadership and team-building skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Maintenance department, including but not limited to: budgeting, scheduling, training, and employee development
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the work of subordinates, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of subordinates, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Investigate complaints and incidents, taking appropriate action to resolve issues
  • Prepare and submit reports to upper management as required
  • Stay abreast of new developments in the field of maintenance and make recommendations for improvements to management
  • Manage the departmental budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within allocated limits
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
