Job Description

Identify and onboard reliable vendors for gear parts, locomotives, and port crane components.

Negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective pricing while maintaining quality standards. Stay updated on market trends, technological advancements, and emerging suppliers. Maintain optimal inventory levels for gear parts and critical components. Anticipate demand for parts based on repair schedules, maintenance logs, and usage patterns. Ensure timely procurement to avoid delays in maintenance or operations.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and audits of suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all parts meet industry standards and specifications. Address and resolve issues related to delayed deliveries or substandard parts. Ensure all purchased components comply with railway, maritime, and port operation standards. Oversee documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and warranty agreements. Monitor and control the procurement budget effectively. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to understand technical requirements.

Customization: Procure specialized or customized components for unique applications in locomotives or cranes.
