To provide on-site and remote technical support, installation, programming, and integration of motion systems, drives, and automation components into customer machinery. The engineer will handle commissioning, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and ensure seamless after-sales support for our industrial automation and motion control projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Integration & Commissioning

  • Install and commission electric actuators, servo/linear drives, and motion control systems at customer sites.
  • Program PLCs and controllers to execute motion profiles, synchronization, homing, and interlocks.
  • Interface automation components using fieldbuses such as EtherCAT, ProfiNet, Modbus/TCP, or EtherNet/IP.
  • Calibrate and tune motion drives for stable operation and repeatability.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for drive faults, communication issues, and logic errors.
  • Diagnose hardware/software problems in PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers.
  • Support customers and internal teams during machine installation, service, and testing.
  • Document common fault cases and create troubleshooting guides for future reference.

3. Programming & Configuration

  • Develop PLC logic (ladder / structured text / function blocks) for automation applications.
  • Configure motion controllers, create parameter sets, and manage firmware or backup files.
  • Integrate PLCs with HMIs for command, status, and alarm handling.
  • Write reusable code modules and templates for common automation tasks.

4. Customer Training & Documentation

  • Prepare user manuals, commissioning reports, and service documentation.
  • Conduct basic operator or maintenance training at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with the sales and product team to provide technical inputs during project design and proposals.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of PLCs and IEC 61131 languages (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram).
  • Experience in configuring servo or stepper drives and implementing motion sequences (position, speed, torque control).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, ProfiNet, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, CANopen).
  • Familiarity with encoder feedback systems, limit switches, homing routines, and motion tuning.
  • Good understanding of industrial electrical circuits and control panel wiring.
  • Experience in PLC environments.
  • Basic robotics or pick-and-place automation exposure
  • Knowledge of pneumatic/electric actuator replacement systems
  • Understanding of safety interlocks, E-stop circuits, and functional safety
  • Prior exposure to packaging, food processing, or material handling machinery

Educational Qualification

  • ME / M.Tech / B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in:
  • Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Automation
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in PLC & motion control integration.
  • Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered for a trainee role.
