Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Santacruz East, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Salary Offered: upto 5.00 LPA

This role requires a professional from an Accounting and Taxation Background with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Tally and Advanced Excel, have a strong understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax & Statutory Compliances.

Key Responsibilities:

Tally Entries:

● Full Fledged passing of all Entries in Tally for Purchase, Sales, Expenses, Incomes & Journal Entries, Fixed Assets & Depreciation booking Entries

● Entries for Investments in Shares & Mutual Funds along with Capital Gains Calculation in Tally

● Bank, Utility Bills, Credit Cards Entries in Tally

● Cash Book, Bank Book in Tally

● Maintaining Petty Cash Register and physical Petty Cash

● Follow up with Clients and Suppliers for Bills and Payments

Financial Reporting:

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) in accordance with the accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Cash Flow Management:

● Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, including working capital, to ensure that adequate liquidity is available for operations and business growth.

MIS Reports:

● Completing the Weekly & Monthly Accounts Department MIS Reports and submitting to the Management

Statutory Compliance & Taxation:

CA files the returns for our Group Companies. Your role is to send all the details in the required format to CA's office and coordinate with CA to get the Returns Filed.

● GST: Ensure that all GST-related filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) are accurate and submitted within the deadlines. Manage GST audits and ensure full compliance with GST laws. Checking for accurate Input Credit taken according to GSTR 2A and 2B regularly.

● TDS: Deduct correct TDS Amounts, Get TDS Payments done on time and Get TDS Returns filed on time and accurately. Follow up and ensure that our 26AS has all the TDS deposited against our PAN Card by our Clients.

● Professional Tax: Ensure compliance with Professional Tax regulations and timely remittance of payments.

● Statutory Audit: Preparing the Final Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss Account upto Finalisation of Accounts, Completing the preparation of all data, annexures, schedule and notes to accounts, resolving queries of Statutory Auditors, ensuring that all financial documents are in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

● Tax Audit: Independently handle the tax audit process, including the preparation and filing of the Tax Audit Report (Form 3CB, 3CD) including all its annexures and schedules and resolving queries of the Auditors..

Software and Tools Management:

● Tally: Manage and oversee the use of Tally accounting software for day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping.

● Advanced Excel: Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, reports, and data analysis, ensuring the preparation of accurate financial reports.

Education and Experience:

● Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related fields. A professional certification such as CA, ICWA, or CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

● Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Technical Skills:

● Proficient in Tally: Extensive experience with Tally ERP for daily accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.

● Advanced Excel: Ability to create complex financial models, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis using Excel.

● Statutory Compliance Knowledge: Basic understanding of GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.

● Accounting Principles: Sound knowledge of Accounting Principles and 3 Golden Rules of Accounts

Pay: ₹20, ₹40,738.43 per month
