Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Andheri (West), Mumbai

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Director

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, ensure statutory compliance, and support budgeting and audits. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

· Maintain and reconcile general ledger, journal entries, and trial balances

· Ensure timely and accurate recording of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities

· Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings

· Monitor and manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor reconciliations

2. Financial Reporting

· Prepare financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports

· Generate management reports for strategic decision-making

· Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

· Handling MIS data

3. Statutory Compliance

· Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations (TDS, GST, Income Tax)

· Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual returns (GST, TDS, Professional Tax)

· Coordinate with external consultants and auditors during audits/assessments

4. Payroll & Reimbursements

· Manage payroll calculations, disbursements, and related statutory deductions

· Verify and process staff reimbursements and petty cash expenses

· Maintain records of employee advances and loan settlements

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

· Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes

· Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures

6. Coordination & Supervision

· Liaise with banks, vendors, statutory bodies, and internal teams

· Support junior accountants or finance assistants (if applicable)

· Coordinate with procurement and operations teams on cost tracking and vendor payments

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • Certifications: CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance / Semi-qualified CA (Preferred, not mandatory)
  • Experience: 5–8 years in accounting and finance roles
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar tools
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in media, events, entertainment, or production industries

· Exposure to multi-entity accounting and inter-company transactions

· Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹60,000.00 per month
