Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented  Senior Indirect Tax Specialist to lead and manage our indirect tax compliance and advisory functions, with a primary focus on  Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GST laws, rules, and procedures, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance, managing audits, and supporting business operations with tax-efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities: Ensure  timely and accurate filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.) Manage  GST audits, assessments, and litigation with tax authorities Provide  advisory support on GST implications for business transactions, contracts, and new projects Monitor changes in GST laws and ensure  compliance with latest regulations Reconcile GST data with financial records and ensure  accurate input tax credit (ITC) claims Coordinate with internal teams (finance, procurement, sales) to ensure  GST compliance across functions Liaise with external consultants and legal advisors for complex tax matters Support  automation and process improvement initiatives in indirect tax compliance Prepare and present  management reports on tax positions, risks, and opportunities Qualifications: CA / CMA / LLB / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification Minimum  7 years of experience in indirect taxation, with at least  5 years focused on India GST Strong knowledge of  GST law, rules, notifications, and circulars Experience with  GST audits, departmental queries, and litigation Proficiency in  ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and GST compliance tools Excellent  analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills: Exposure to  international indirect tax regimes (e.g., VAT, customs) is a plus Experience in  shared services or multinational environments Ability to  train and mentor junior team members
