Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) within a designated territory, ensuring achievement of sales targets, brand promotion, and strategic execution aligned with company goals.
· Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, train, and motivate a team of 4–6 Medical Representatives
· Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for pharmaceutical products
· Conduct joint fieldwork with MRs to coach and monitor performance
· Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, and chemists
· Ensure effective implementation of promotional strategies and campaigns
· Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence
· Manage territory vacancies and ensure uninterrupted coverage
· Submit timely reports on sales performance, market feedback, and team activities
· Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Graduate in Science or Pharmacy (B.Sc / B.Pharm);
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharma sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in territory planning, data analysis, and CRM tools
· Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
· Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
