Responsibilities:

  1. Gemstone Evaluation:
  2. Examine and identify various gemstones using gemological tools and equipment.
  3. Assess the quality, cut, color, and clarity of gemstones.
  4. Determine authenticity and origin of gemstones through testing techniques.
  5. Pricing and Valuation:
  6. Establish fair market values for gemstones based on current market trends, rarity, and quality.
  7. Negotiate prices with suppliers and buyers to ensure profitable transactions.
  8. Keep abreast of industry trends and fluctuations in gemstone prices.
  9. Procurement:
  10. Source gemstones from reputable suppliers and mines.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality gemstones.
  12. Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers to ensure ethical and legal standards are met.
  13. Sales and Marketing:
  14. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote and sell gemstones.
  15. Provide product information to potential buyers and assist in closing sales.
  16. Stay informed about customer preferences and market demands.
  17. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  18. Maintain accurate records of gemstone transactions, including pricing, quantity, and source information.
  19. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements.
  20. Generate reports on sales, inventory, and market trends.
