Role Overview

The Presales Manager will lead technical solution design and presales activities for IT and network-based security system projects, primarily targeting government clients through tender based procurement process. The role involves collaborating with OEM's, sales, and project teams to deliver compelling, compliant, and competitive solutions for government tenders and direct nominations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Technical expertise

  • Identify potential projects from tender information databases and sales team.
  • Analyze RFPs/RFQs documents to define solution requirements from PQ, TQ and solution components.
  • Design integrated electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, traffic management, smart city solutions, etc.) with a through focus on IT and network architecture along with other components of edge and core.
  • Prepare technical proposals, system architectures, and compliance matrices. Coordinate with OEMs for documentation and solution designs.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure solution feasibility.

2. Presales Support

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop winning proposals.
  • Present solutions to government stakeholders, consultants, and technical committees.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for optimal product selection and pricing strategy.

3. Tender Bid Management

  • Lead the preparation of technical documentation for bid submission in compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Ensure all solutions meet government standards, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support the sales team in negotiations and technical clarifications.
  • Compile (Bid stitching) & Upload bid documents in compliance with RFP directions.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and conduct regular presentation by them for updating the team.
  • Act as a technical advisor for pre-bid meetings, solution presentations in bids, and solution workshops for organisation teams.

5. Market & Technology Intelligence

  • Monitor emerging technologies, government policies, and competitor offerings in the security and IT domain.
  • Provide feedback to sales and project teams for solution enhancement.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent in networking/security are an advantage.

Overall Experience

  • 4-5 years of presales or solution design experience with System Integrator or Consultant in IT/network/security projects, with at least 2-3 years in government sector projects.
  • Proven track record in handling large government tenders and technical presentations.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of network design, security systems integration, and IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and create technical drawings (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.).
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and standards.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for client meetings and site visits.

Languages Known

  • Proficiency in English (mandatory); knowledge of Hindi or other local languages is an advantage.
