Job Description – Quality Manager (Steel Products)

Experience: Minimum 5+ Years (Quality Department)

Industry Preference: Steel Sheets / Slit Foils / Coils / Metal Products

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control – as per company quality manual & ISO standards.
  • Handle in-process & final inspection for slitted coils, sheets, foils, etc.
  • Manage NPD quality validation, sample approval, & feasibility study.
  • Prepare & maintain QAP, inspection reports, SOPs, control plans, MTC records.
  • Implement CAPA, root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone), SPC & FMEA practices.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality procedures during ongoing production.
  • Coordinate with production & customers for quality compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits, calibration control, and process monitoring.
  • Monitor critical parameters: thickness, edge quality, surface defects, camber, flatness, etc.
  • Train & guide quality inspectors.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in measurement tools – Vernier, Micrometer, Hardness Tester, Profile Projector, Thickness Gauge.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, MSA, APQP, SPC, CAPA, FMEA.
  • Understanding of sheet metal behavior, slitting tolerances, handling & packaging standards.
  • Hands-on experience in quality documentation & audits.
  • Customer complaint handling & corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. (Mech / Metallurgy / Production).
  • Certification in ISO / Six Sigma – preferred. Mail ID : (mention Job position aplied in subject line with exp ) strictly preferance for quality exp in steel and alloys preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹50,000.00 per month
