We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Design Engineer with 15 years of expertise to lead the design, planning, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of MEP design standards, codes, and best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile projects for India and abroad with a focus on the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities: MEP Design:

• Lead the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various types of buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure that designs meet client specifications, local building codes, and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, Building Codes, IECs, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in the design of systems coming in MEP.
• Provide guidance on design processes and technical challenges.

Project Management:

• Collaborate with project managers and other design professionals to define project requirements and ensure that design milestones are met.
• Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Coordinate the integration of MEP systems with other architectural and structural disciplines.

Technical Expertise:

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and other MEP systems.
• Perform system load calculations, energy analysis, and ensure compliance with sustainability and energy efficiency standards.
• Select equipment, materials, and systems, and prepare technical specifications and procurement packages.
• Review vendor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design documents.
• Prepare the bidding BOQs.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and supporting documentation for regulatory approvals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance design efficiency and quality.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

• Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional MEP designs.
• Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns or changes in design scope.
• Assist with procurement and tendering processes for MEP components, ensuring the best value for the client.
• Getting the designs approved from client/consultants.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Experience: 15 years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Dialux, etc.).
• Expertise in designing HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and related MEP systems.
• Strong understanding of local and international design codes and standards.
• Experience with energy modeling and sustainable building design practices.

Project Management:

• Proven track record in managing complex projects from concept to completion, including budget and schedule management.

Leadership:

• Ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers.

Communication:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.

Problem-Solving:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges.

Attention to Detail:

• A high level of precision and care in the preparation of design documents and technical specifications.
