About The Opportunity
Join Mindtel's finance team as a Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate books, and support month-end closing and statutory filings. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on exposure to AP/AR, reconciliations, GST/TDS compliance, and ERP-based accounting in a growth-oriented, operational environment. On-site: India.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process and record daily transactions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor invoices, and customer receipts in the ERP/Tally.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations, and weekly cash position updates.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities: trial balance, basic P&L and balance sheet validation, and intercompany postings.
  • Assist with GST, TDS documentation and filings, and coordinate with external vendors/auditors for statutory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, HR) to resolve billing, payroll, and vendor queries promptly.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting or equivalent; 0–2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP; comfortable entering vouchers and reconciling ledgers.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, basic formulas) and attention to numeric detail.
  • Working knowledge of GST & TDS basics and experience preparing relevant supporting documents.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work on-site in India, and a problem-solving mindset.

Preferred

  • Exposure to month-end close cycles, bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, or basic payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and preparing schedules for auditors or senior accountants.
