Experience Required: 3–7 years (Minimum 2 years in Punjabi cuisine)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Indian Chef specializing in Punjabi breakfast cuisine, capable of preparing authentic, flavorful, and consistent dishes such as Chole Bhature, Stuffed Parathas, Kulcha, Naan, Bedmi Puri, and Indian street-style chaats. The chef should be able to manage breakfast operations, maintain hygiene standards, and deliver high-quality food efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook Punjabi breakfast dishes: Chole, Bhature, Poori, Parathas (aloo, gobhi, paneer, muli), Amritsari Kulcha, Naan, Lassi, and various chaats.
  • Develop and maintain standardized recipes for consistent taste and quality.
  • Ensure proper marination, dough-making, and traditional preparation techniques.

Kitchen Management

  • Oversee daily breakfast kitchen operations.
  • Manage inventory, raw material usage, and reduce wastage.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI standards.

Quality & Presentation

  • Ensure authentic Punjabi flavors and high-quality food presentation.
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, taste, and plating.
  • Innovate and occasionally introduce new breakfast items.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work with kitchen staff to maintain smooth functioning.
  • Train junior staff on basic preparations and kitchen hygiene.
  • Coordinate with management on menu planning and customer feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Punjabi / North Indian / Tandoor / Breakfast Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, gravies, doughs, and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Experience with tawa cooking, frying, and tandoor (optional but preferred).
  • Ability to work early morning shifts.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in restaurants, dhabas, cafes, catering, or cloud kitchens.
  • Strong understanding of Punjabi flavors and street-style dishes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Passion for authentic Indian cuisine and customer satisfaction.
