Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Category Manager / Senior Category Manager
to
lead the development and scaling of Azuro's vendor & technician network
. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in
category management, vendor development, and strategic partnerships
, with the ability to
set up systems from scratch and scale them across cities
.
You will own vendor strategy, tie-ups with leading service providers, technician onboarding, contract negotiations, and performance management – ensuring Azuro delivers
high-quality, cost-efficient, and timely services
across all markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor & Technician Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage a
multi-city network of vendors and technicians
across categories (Painting, Deep Cleaning, Carpentry, Electrical). - Recruit and scale in-house teams where necessary, while curating reliable external vendor partners.
- Ensure supply readiness for high-demand categories.
2. Strategic Partnerships
- Forge tie-ups with service companies like
Urban Company, NoBroker Hood, Vijay Home Services
, etc. - Negotiate commercial terms, define SLAs, and structure performance-linked contracts.
3. Category Management & Standardization
- Define service categories, pricing models, and delivery checklists.
- Create and enforce SOPs to ensure consistency in service delivery across all cities.
- Integrate vendor operations into Azuro's systems and processes.
4. Operational Excellence & Cost Optimization
- Track and improve vendor performance using KPIs:
- Service Turnaround Time (TAT)
- SLA compliance
- Cost per ticket
- Customer feedback scores
- Continuously identify
margin improvement and cost-saving opportunities

Key Requirements
- Experience:
4–8 years in
Category Management, Vendor Development, or Strategic Partnerships
. - Proven ability to
build vendor or technician networks from scratch
and scale across geographies. - Strong skills in
negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization
. - Understanding of
operations, service delivery models, and multi-city execution
. - Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership; thrives in a
fast-paced, startup-like environment
.
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in companies such as
Urban Company, NoBroker Hood, HouseJoy, Quikr Services, Zomato, Swiggy, Flipkart, or E-commerce/logistics aggregators
. - Candidates who have held roles like
Category Manager, Senior Category Manager, Vendor Development Manager, or Business Development Manager
.
What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
- Vendor SLA compliance ≥ 90% across cities.
- Service Turnaround Time reduced by 20–25%.
- Positive unit economics for service categories within 6 months.
- Customer satisfaction score ≥ 4.5/5.
