Role & responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and approve credit limits for customers based on financial health, payment history, and business risk.
  • Monitor receivables aging, overdue accounts, and collection performance across regions and segments.
  • Follow up with customers and sales teams for timely recovery of outstanding payments.
  • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and legal teams for resolution of disputed or delinquent accounts.
  • Track and report credit risk exposure and collection efficiency to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate customer master data, credit documentation, and payment records.
  • Prepare periodic reports on DSO, credit utilization, and receivables provisions.
  • Recommend write-offs or provisions in compliance with company policy and audit requirements.
  • Support customer onboarding, KYC checks, and contractual reviews related to credit terms.
  • Conduct regular communication meetings with employees. Delegate tasks/ responsibilities & appropriate authority to staff to achieve effective & efficient utilization of all resources.
  • Conduct fair/effective appraisal using PMS. Per HR policies, assess recommend & lead employee orientation, training & development as needed.
  • Ensure conformance with current workplace policies, processes, procedures, and regulations.

Preferred candidate profile:

Education: MBA (Finance), CA Inter, or M. Com. with specialization in credit/receivables management

Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in credit control and receivables, preferably in B2B or industrial/manufacturing/ Infrastructure sectors or or EPC companies

Knowledge: Credit risk assessment frameworks, Indian contract law basics, receivables accounting, and ERP systems Working knowledge of LC/BG, Channel Finance, and EDPMS/FEMA processes. Experience working in a matrix organisation

Functional Skills: Credit analysis and limit setting, Collections and dispute resolution, Receivables reporting and risk tracking Internal control and compliance

IT Skills: Proficiency in ERP (QAD, SAP, Oracle), MS Excel, and receivables dashboards/aging tools, Power BI

Abilities: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, High level of accuracy and integrity, Ability to collaborate cross functionally with sales, legal, and finance, Proactive approach and customer-centric.
