Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of technical information between design teams at GCC and at ME.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring that design solutions are fully integrated and compliant with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and relevant standards.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, models, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Organise and lead technical meetings, workshops, and design reviews, recording and tracking actions and decisions.
  • Monitor design progress, identifying and addressing technical risks, clashes, or issues as they arise.
  • Support the Project Manager in programme management, reporting, and delivery of key project milestones.
  • Ensure that all technical deliverables are produced to the agreed quality, within budget and timescales.
  • Champion best practice in digital design, BIM coordination, and use of collaborative software platforms.
  • Assist with value engineering exercises and technical appraisals to optimise design solutions.
  • Maintain a register of technical queries, design changes, and approvals.
  • Produce and manage RFI schedules and responses.
  • Assist in developing technical delivery processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor design progress and coordinate with the construction and commercial teams.
  • Perform site checks to ensure design compliance and quality of execution.
  • Produce Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and enforce QEMS (Quality, Environmental, Management System) standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure design management, preferably with consultancy and contractor exposure 
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure design processes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in digital design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit/Civil3D, Navisworks) and collaborative platforms (e.g., ACC, BIM 360, ProjectWise).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
