Summary of the role:

The SAP Techno-Functional Business Controls Senior Analyst position is a key role in the IT team, combining business process know-how with technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP controls (such as Business Process and IT General Controls), a strong grasp of how end-to-end processes work in any ERP environment, and a proven ability to translate simple business activities (like creating an invoice, paying vendors, or managing purchase orders) and identify risks and controls. This techno-functional expert will work closely with both business and IT control owners to help them spot where risks might exist, then describing and designing the right technical controls to monitor and mitigate those risks.

Your job will focus on mapping out business and IT controls. You'll then use that understanding — and your technical know-how — to create and maintain risk and controls matrices (RCM) for business process controls, design technical solutions that fit, and Perform system integration testing of controls before implementation.

About the role:

• Partner with business process owners and IT teams to identify risks in ERP/SAP processes and design integrated business process and IT controls.

• Lead workshops with functional stakeholders to understand processes (e.g., invoice creation, PO release, vendor payment) and translate them into technical control requirements.

• Create and maintain RCMs covering business processes, middleware, batch jobs, interfaces, and ERP deployments across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid solutions.

• Assess and document risks in both SAP and non-SAP systems, and design controls accordingly.

• Develop technical test scripts and procedures to execute key ERP/SAP reports for system integration testing of controls.

• Lead end-to-end control testing in planned release and deployment cycles.

• Advise on control design improvements during ERP projects, migrations, and upgrades.

• Support compliance and audit activities (e.g., SOX, SOC reports) with documentation and testing evidence.

• Create and maintain dashboards and reports for control performance monitoring.

About you:

• Minimum 8 years of techno-functional experience in SAP/ERP controls (Business Process & ITGC), risk assessment, and internal controls design.

• Strong techno-functional knowledge of SAP/ERP business processes and controls.

• Ability to interpret functional process language and map it to technical risk and control requirements.

• Skilled in, risk assessment, and audit support.

• Strong oral and written communication skills; able to interact with both technical teams and business users.

• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working in complex global environments.

• Bachelors degree with an emphasis in information technology/systems, computer science, accounting, or internal audit from an accredited university.

• CA, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CIA or SAP certification preferred.
