Job Title: Store & Purchase Manager

Overview

The Store & Purchase Manager is responsible for managing the restaurant's inventory, purchasing, and supply chain operations. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment, and supporting kitchen and service teams with high-quality materials. The role ensures cost control, proper storage, and smooth operational flow.

Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and credit terms with vendors.
  • Place purchase orders according to restaurant requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any supply issues.
  • Monitor market trends and price changes to optimize purchasing decisions.

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory of food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile variances.
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper stock rotation.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Monitor storage conditions to ensure food safety and quality.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Track purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory and purchase reports.
  • Work closely with the kitchen to control waste and portioning.
  • Monitor usage patterns and forecast future inventory needs.

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Head Chef, kitchen team, and restaurant management to ensure timely supply flow.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet the restaurant's quality standards.
  • Manage the receiving area—checking deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damage.
  • Ensure proper documentation, including invoices, GRNs (Goods Received Notes), and purchase records.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure storage areas comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe storerooms and freezers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant purchasing, storekeeping, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and inventory management practices.
  • Familiarity with restaurant inventory software/POS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in supply chain, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Experience with HACCP or food safety certification.
  • Knowledge of cost control and budgeting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,094.04 per month
